(n) A neural network design that combines the efficiency of Selective State-Space Models (SSMs), such as Mamba, with the superior representation power of Transformer self-attention mechanisms. To be honest I feel like “self-attention mechanism” might be its own entry but it’s late.
Promomaxxing
(n,v) The act of creating unnecesarilly complicated projects or documents with the goal of looking busy, to get a promotion, notably at Google.
# Tinker slop
(v) 1. The act of fiddling with your agent with the intent of optimizing its performance. 2. (n) The sad prompts you dump into your agent in the process of tinker slopping.
# Trend simulation
(n) Creating a bunch of fake social media accounts to juice engagement. Coined (I believe) by Chaotic Good, a marketing agency who created thousands of fake social media accounts to boost the visibility of the band Geese, a client.
